Robert Bilheimer, Director

Robert Bilheimer, President of Worldwide Documentaries, Inc., is a director, writer, and producer with an international background in film, theatre, journalism, and creative writing. His interests as a filmmaker range from the plays of Samuel Beckett to the vast complexity of the global AIDS epidemic, focusing on subjects of cultural, social, and humanitarian interest. In 1989, he received his profession's highest honor—an Academy Award nomination for Cry of Reason, a feature-length documentary that tells the story of South African anti-apartheid leader Beyers Naude. Richard Young, Director of Photography

Oscar® nominee Richard Young is one of North America's most distinguished documentary cinematographers. He has filmed dozens of documentaries for the Eastman Kodak Company, and for his work on two feature-length documentaries for PBS was awarded two Emmys®. With international experience that has taken him to more than a dozen countries over a span of more than 25 years in filmmaking, Not My Life is Richard's fourth collaboration with Robert Bilheimer and Worldwide Documentaries.

Anthony T. DeLuca, Editor

With 15 years of editing experience, Anthony has worked with numerous independent film producers and directors as well as national advertising agencies and corporations. His work has received numerous local and national awards in commercial advertising, corporate launches, and theatrical film releases, including an Emmy, Cine Golden Eagles, Addy Awards, PRism and Vision awards. Not My Life is Anthony's second collaboration with Robert Bilheimer and Worldwide Documentaries, his first having been A Closer Walk, which has been hailed as a "masterpiece" by film critics around the world. His other editing credits include a short theatrical film for Eastman Kodak Company (The Lightening Project) and a 60-minute documentary for National PBS (Echoes from the Ancients) narrated by Anne Bancroft.

Betsy Reid-Creedon, Director of Programs

Betsy Creedon was a Director of the Public Policy Center at General Motors until she retired from the company in October, 2009.

Betsy's responsibilities at GM over 20 years included strategic planning, business systems integration and oversight, labor relations, and general infrastructure management. As one of GM's most trusted and respected liasons to employees, shareholders, and the general public, Betsy helped continue GM's distinguished tradition of corporate social responsibility into the 21st century.

Betsy's support, through General Motors, of the global distribution campaign of A Closer Walk, Worldwide Documentaries' film about the global AIDS epidemic, is widely regarded as a model of corporate engagement in the use of film as an agent for social change.

Worldwide Documentaries is fortunate to welcome Betsy Creedon to its small full-time staff following her distinguished career at General Motors. As Director of Programs, Betsy will oversee and manage the global distribution campaign for Not My Life; engage Worldwide Documentaries fully and creatively with its corporate and philanthropic partners around the world; and manage Worldwide's human resources as the needs of the company warrant in months and years ahead.

Heidi Ostertag, Senior Producer

Heidi's career with Worldwide Documentaries began at its inception in 1985. After a number of years working as a production manager for an independent film company, Worldwide President Robert Bilheimer approached Heidi about joining Worldwide Documentaries, Inc. The idea was to assemble a small group of dedicated professionals whose goal would be to make films that would change the way people think about human rights, social justice, and what it means to be a human being.

Thus the journey began and now, twenty-three years later, Heidi is Worldwide Documentaries' Senior Producer, with a wide range of responsibilities including production planning and supervision; day-to-day management of the company's global operations; and supervision of a small cadre of staff and volunteers. Heidi feels that one of the most deeply rewarding aspects of working at Worldwide has been the multitude of courageous and inspiring individuals she has had the privilege to meet over the years. "Many have remained dear friends, and all have left an indelible mark on my heart."

Devon Higby, Co-Producer

Devon joined Worldwide Documentaries in the autumn of 2008 after returning from the UK where she received her MFA in Theatre Practice, Directing from the University of Exeter.

Prior to her time overseas, Devon spent a decade as a theatre director and film/TV producer in NYC and across the US. Previous TV/film work includes several episodes withTesttube.tv and Ron Hazleton's House Calls. Her directing work includes shows at Centerstage in Baltimore; HumanaFest at Actors Theatre of Louisville; Off-Broadway at Variety Arts and Rattlestick Theatres; and two years at Westport Country Playhouse under the Artistic Direction of Joanne Woodward where she was assistant director on Our Town with Paul Newman. She was last seen on stage partnering with Edward Herrmann in the world premiere of My Dearest Anna at the Wilton Playshop in fall 2008.

In her time at Worldwide, Devon has progressed to the position of Co-Producer, working on everything from production to fundraising to general daily operations of the company, and has been on location, both international and domestic, facilitating as Production Manager.

Amy Detweiler, Associate Producer

Amy Detweiler is a recent addition to the Worldwide Documentaries team, signing on in February, 2010.

Amy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the State University of New York, and is an accomplished textile artist. She brings helpful insights into Worldwide's future work, especially Take Me Home, a film Worldwide Documentaries is planning about humankind's relationship to the planet on which it lives.

Amy's specific responsibilities at Worldwide are chief web officer, research and development, and coordination of the company's daily operations.
